In March 2018 Kiko Matthews broke the world record for the fastest female to row the Atlantic solo and unsupported.
During her record setting journey she was shocked by the ammount of plastic floating in the open ocean. As a result Kiko started the Kik Plastic campaign - cycling 7200km across the UK coast over the course of the summer and doing a community beach clean each day.
Thursday was day 12 of her route and 8 people came out to Gyllyngvase beach to remove 2kg of waste from our shores.
So glad that we where aproached by Kiko for a part in such a important and inspiring cause.
